STORIES CAN CREATE CONNECTIONS

Model Citizens: The Wings of Change is more than a book we want people to read. We see it as an opportunity to bring people together.

We’re pleased to connect and collaborate with organizations and communities that share some of the ideas at the heart of Model Citizens — mentorship, creativity, learning, teamwork, community and bringing older and younger generations together.

Our collaborations may look different depending on the organization: introducing the book to a new community, creating opportunities for discussion, participating in programs or events, or finding new ways to use the story as a starting point for connection, learning and conversation.

PARTNERS

Dignity of Children, Inc.

Model Citizens is proud to partner with Dignity of Children, Inc., a New York City based organization dedicated to creating emotionally safe and inclusive learning cultures. We support youth development programs and schools across the country, helping them build environments where every young person feels safe, seen, and equipped to thrive.

Led by Dr. Sonia Toledo, speaker and author of Beyond Supervision, our team provides training, coaching, and consultation to help afterschool programs and classrooms design systems that build executive function skills in K-12 students. We partner with organizations nationwide to move beyond supervision toward truly supportive, emotionally intelligent care.

Elise Galperin | Mrs. Galperin’s Class
Model Citizens is proud to partner with Elise Galperin, educator, homeschool mom, entrepreneur and educational consultant.

Elise, founder of the Middle Mentor Model™, an instructional framework designed to bridge guidance and independence, helping children and educators turn ideas into meaningful learning experiences. Her work emphasizes mentorship, reflection, creative application and experiential learning — values that closely align with the themes at the heart of Model Citizens: The Wings of Change.

A pilot Veteran’s Pen Pal project is being designed to connect homeschool students and Veterans using the book, Model Citizens as a starting point. The goal is simple: encourage reading and writing while opening conversations about mentorship, service, friendship, responsibility and life experience.

The Veterans Breakfast Club (VBC)
Model Citizens is proud to be associated with the Veteran’s Breakfast Club, the nation’s premier non-profit for connecting veterans with their fellow Americans through inspiring stories of service. We’re the place where veterans can share what they’ve seen and done—and where everyone can listen and learn.

The Veterans Breakfast Club harnesses the power of storytelling to build a nation that understands and values the experiences of our military veterans.

Through on-line and in-person programming, The VBCs creates a close-knit community of listening and recording events, to ensure that our living history will never be forgotten.

VBC programs connect and heal, educate and inspire. Everyone is always welcome.
